公司 Lootex 在 2022 年參加了由 OneOffs 主辦的 NFT 國際藝術博覽會。我們擁有一個專屬展位,邀請了多名數位藝術家創作數位藝術品,並將其轉化為 NFT,使藏家不僅能擁有數位藝術品,還能獲得區塊鏈上的獨特證明。我的任務是設計一張海報和相關的周邊設計,最終成果包括一張印刷海報和兩個具有 AR 效果的作品。
In 2022, Lootex participated in the NFT International Art Expo hosted by OneOffs. We had our own dedicated booth and invited several digital artists to create digital artworks, which were then transformed into NFTs. This allowed collectors to not only own digital art but also have unique blockchain certification for their pieces. My task was to design a poster and related collateral, resulting in an actual printed poster and two AR effects.

活動主題為「浮世宇宙」,講述了一位現代遊戲玩家在遊玩日本歷史遊戲時,突然通過電腦螢幕穿越時空,從現代進入江戶時代,展開了一場冒險。我將這個主題轉化為視覺表現,在海報底層使用了傳統浮世繪的經典作品(這些經過歲月洗禮的浮世繪如今已成公共資源,讓我們得以使用這些古代藝術),並在浮世繪上疊加像素方塊,加入噪點效果,試圖表現出時空穿越的錯亂感。海報通過不同圖層營造出穿越的概念,並利用浮世繪中的各種人物,展現江戶時代社會的多樣面貌。
完成海報後,我想到可以利用當時非常流行的 AR 技術增添作品的互動性。AR 技術使平面作品立體化,模擬穿越時空的效果,讓使用者可以在 AR 中親自穿越不同圖層,進入江戶時代並自由探索。此外,我設計了一款 AR 面具,讓參與者能戴上數位面具與朋友自拍,增強活動的趣味性和品牌記憶度。
這兩個 AR 效果在展覽中獲得了熱烈反響,參與者對 AR 海報的效果感到驚艷,並引發了廣泛討論;AR 面具也使參與者更樂於和朋友自拍,通過社交媒體平台,這兩種效果在 Facebook 和 Instagram 上總共帶來了近六萬次的曝光率。
The theme of the event was "Ukiyo-e Verse," describing a modern gamer who, while playing a Japanese historical game, suddenly travels through time via the computer screen, from the present to the Edo period in Japan, embarking on an adventure.
Through this theme concept, I attempted to translate it into a visual representation. On the base layer of the poster, I used authentic traditional ukiyo-e artworks (after many years, ukiyo-e works can be freely used in modern times, thanks to the treasures left behind by the ancients). I overlaid squares on the ukiyo-e to represent the effect of digital pixels, and added noise within the squares to convey the sensory confusion of traveling through time. On the poster, I used different layers to create the concept of traversing, and through various characters from ukiyo-e, I showcased different aspects of society in Japan's Edo period.
After completing the poster, I decided to enhance the work with the then-popular AR technology. This allowed me to bring the flat artwork to life, simulating the effect of time travel, enabling users to virtually traverse different layers and explore the Edo period within AR. Additionally, I created an AR mask that participants could wear to take digital selfies with friends, enhancing the event's engagement and brand recall.
These two AR effects were very well-received at the exhibition. Many attendees were amazed by the AR poster's effect, which generated considerable buzz, and the AR mask encouraged more selfies with friends. Combined, these effects garnered nearly 60,000 exposures on Facebook and Instagram.
